Chad was reared in the small south Louisiana town of Lockport, better known as bayou country. He has always had a strong work ethic and remembers working after school and on weekends, as a young boy. Being sixth out of seven children, Chad learned from an early age how to work well with others. Along with being a terrific motivator to his co-workers and peers, he constantly strives to do his best and always puts forth a wholehearted effort towards any of his tasks. His hard work and determination, combined with a God-given talent, has propelled Chad to truly be a leader in his field. His compassion and willingness to go the extra mile is a great comfort to the families he serves. Initially, Chad planned on a career in the medical field, but fate had other plans, which led him into the funeral service industry. Chad obtained a degree in Mortuary Science and Business Technology.  Chad began his career in 1999 and proudly serves his community at Chauvin Funeral Home. Chad is married to his high school sweetheart, Jodie and together the couple have two children, Christian and Destiny, who are the joy of their lives. Chad is a proud member of Kiwanis International and past Governor of the Southeast District of Louisiana Funeral Directors Association. Chad resides in Houma and enjoys camping and spending time with his family.

Beth is a native of West Monroe, Louisiana and moved to Houma in 1980. She is a 1978 graduate of West Monroe High School, a proud Rebel. Beth has been an administrative assistant for 36 years. Beth is the proud mother of one daughter, Kristen "K.P." Elizabeth Powell. Experiencing the loss of her husband, Gary Dale Powell, at a young age and the adversity of being left to raise a five year old made her experience the deepest loss first hand. She feels that her personal and professional experience with loss will help her provide the kindness and compassion that our families deserve at this time. Beth joined the Chauvin Funeral Home team in 2008 and we believe that she is able to provide support to our families, as well as our staff. Outside of work, she is an avid Saints and LSU fan. She is a thirty-plus-year member of the Krewe of Cleopatra Carnival Club and loves Mardi Gras!

Kevin was born and raised in Berwick, Louisiana. He graduated from Berwick High School in May 1995 and attended Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, where he studied Instrumental Music Education. In late 2000 he married and moved into the Houma area of Terrebonne Parish to settle down with his wife and children. In the summer of 2007, Kevin joined the Chauvin Funeral Home family and is a licensed funeral director in the state of Louisiana. Being a resident of the Houma community for nearly fifteen years, he has come to call Terrebonne Parish home. He considers it an honor and a privilege to serve the families of the Terrebonne, Lafourche and surrounding communities. Kevin has always had a love of music and enjoys listening to classical and more contemporary forms of music while sharing this love with his family. When not at the funeral home, he enjoys spending his leisure time with his wife and children; which he considers his greatest love and gifts from God.

A native of Conroe, Texas Kristen moved to Houma in 2004. She graduated from South Terrebonne in 2008, and attended Nicholls State University and Delgado Community College where she obtained her degree in Mortuary Science. Kristen has been employed with Chauvin Funeral Home since 2019. Kristen is the proud mother of twins, Koen and Kimber. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, shopping, and tending to her fur babies.

Gerard was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. He began his career in the funeral industry in 1975. He has been employed by various firms from New Orleans to Morgan City. Gerard and his family settled in Houma in 1994, he is married to the former Jeanette LeBlanc and is the father of one son, Jan-Michael. His interests include vintage automobiles, antiques, classical and soft rock music, crafts and serving the Lord. His church parish is St. Bernadette.

Hannah was born in Central Florida and raised in the funeral business as her father is a Funeral Director. After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2020 with a Bachelors in Forensic Biology she moved to Thibodaux, LA and started her career in the funeral business and graduated at The Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service. Having spent her life in the business of assisting people through the process of loss, mourning, and the celebration of those who have passed, Hannah is well equipped to step into her role as a Funeral Director.

Mikki is a 2011 graduate of Nicholls State University with a degree in Science. She is currently a Licensed Funeral Director enrolled in Arapahoe Community College in Mortuary Science studying to get her Embalming License. She has a son, Gabe, and an English Springer Spaniel named TJ. In her spare time, she enjoys playing basketball with her son, traveling, watching movies, and fishing.

Jency Viator is the Family Service Counselor for Chauvin Funeral Home & Crematory in Houma, LA. She assists families with putting together their final wishes, alleviating that burden from their survivors. Jency understands the importance of preplanning and how much it helps our families not just on a financial level, but on an emotional level as well.


Originally from New Iberia, LA, Jency planted her roots in Houma, LA in 2019. She has been blessed by being able to find, not only a job but a career in the funeral home industry despite being in the middle of a downturn in the oilfield industry and the Covid-19 pandemic. Jency was surprised to learn just how much she loves working in this industry. Being able to help families makes Jency feel like she is truly making a difference in the community.

Frank was born and raised here in Houma, LA. He has been an important part of Chauvin Funeral Home's staff since 1990. Having experienced the loss of his parents and his siblings, Frank is in touch with the reality of losing someone close to him. This is the reason he is proud to help serve the people of Terrebonne and the surrounding parishes. In his free time, Frank enjoys fishing, camping and outdoor cooking for his family and friends.

Dwayne was born in the small town of Chauvin. Born to loving and hard-working parents, Dwayne was blessed with carrying on moral and ethical values in the workplace. Dwayne spent most of his years in the automotive industry. He was a finance manager for fifteen years and retired with thirty years of service. Dwayne is married to his wife, Nicole of thirty-four years. They were blessed with three beautiful children, Michael, Simone, and Alyssa. After the loss of his father and mother, Dwayne’s experience with grief allowed him to understand how important it is to care for grieving families. Several years later, Chauvin Funeral Home was blessed to have Dwayne join their team. His talents, compassion, care, and the extra efforts he puts into serving families is second to none. Dwayne’s personal statement, “It brings me comfort to know that I help and guide families through a difficult time the way Chauvin Funeral Home help me with the loss of my parents”. Dwayne enjoys his time with his family and is an avid Saints fan and LSU dad.

Lisa is a longtime resident of Houma. She's the proud wife to Tony and mother to her precious baby girls, Lydia and Valerie. Lisa has been a longtime employee of Chauvin Funeral Home assisting and guiding families while she hosts visitations and assists with funerals. She's valued for her amazing personality and technical skills. Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and helping others in her community.

Kim was born and raised in Pointe-Aux-Chenes, LA and graduated from South Terrebonne High School. She is the only child of Mike and Anita Arceneaux. Kim obtained her Associates degree in General Studies and Applied Sciences from Fletcher Technical College. She has a strong work ethic, an infectious smile, and a real talent for being crafty. Kim's passions are hunting and fishing. Her friends and family can always count on Kim to bring home that good Louisiana game, and maybe whip up a nice little meal while she's at it. 


Her passion for the outdoors has taught her to appreciate the small things in life and how to be patient from a young age. These characteristics have carried over into her adult life and she uses her talents to support the families she serves to the best of her abilities. Kim loves her fur baby doggos, Karma and Cami, and her horses, Smokey and Spot. 


Kim began her career with Chauvin Funeral Home in March of 2021 and has been a force of compassion for our community. Through her own personal losses, she has prevailed over her sufferings and memorializes her best friend by sharing a brighter and clearer perspective of life after death with everyone she meets. Kim always gives 100% in whatever she does and strives to put her best foot forward for her friends, family, co-workers and those she serves as a valued member of the Chauvin Funeral Home team. Her caring nature, shining personality, and her willingness to go the extra mile makes her an invaluable assist to our team and our families.

Dan is a native of New Orleans and spent his formative years growing up on a small farm in Houma.  He is a graduate of Terrebonne High School.  

Living and working on a farm, from mending fences to taking care of the many animals, Dan developed a strong work ethic. He became involved with the 4-H and enjoyed raising and showing Angus steers.

During his post graduate working years, Dan worked in retail management, and continued with that career after relocating to the Atlanta, GA area.  There he worked and helped raise his own family which included his 3 children.  Dan eventually relocated back to Houma and lives in the same home he grew up in.

After spending several years in the retail industry, Dan became interested in a sales career.  He spent several years working in the auto industry, real estate, and contractor building material supplies, 

Eventually Dan became involved in the insurance industry where has spent the last 34 years as an independent agent, selling life and health insurance products to individuals and families.  In an industry that is sometimes plagued by unscrupulous persons, Dan continues to follow his philosophy of doing the right thing.  He believes that if a person always does the right thing, then all else will be taken care of.

Dan began his career with Chauvin in 2024 where he enjoys assisting with funerals and helping families through their time of grief.

Laura was born in Houma, LA and has lived here her whole life. She graduated from Nicholls State University in 2018 and hasn’t stopped learning since. Laura looks at everything with an open mind and loves reading new stories and ideas. Her home is a cozy place with her two cats and many indoor plants.


The funeral industry is a place where Laura can lend a hand and help with her kind heart. She believes that no one should go through loss alone and is glad that Chauvin Funeral Home is a place that offers so much care and assistance.
