Alton “Tit” Joseph Dupre, Sr., 88, passed away at his home surrounded by his wife and loving family on October 26, 2020 at 1:50pm. Alton was a native and resident of Montegut, LA.

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Saturday, November 7, 2020 from 9:00am until 11:00am.  Mass of Christian Burial will begin on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church at 12:00pm. Burial will follow services in the church cemetery.

Alton is survived by his loving wife, Irna “Tine” Chaisson Dupre; children, Carlene Dupre Authement and husband Dale, Jerry Dupre and wife Wanda, Danny Dupre and wife Sherry, Eddie Dupre and wife Paula; daughter-in-law, Nancy Dupre; grandchildren, Travis Authement and wife Brandy, Kristy Allen and husband Jeremy, Ryan Authement and wife Jenny, Mandy Newton and husband Jesse, Colby Dupre, Dylan Dupre, Neil Chauvin, Scotty Miguez, Lindsey Dupre, Eddie Paul Dupre and wife Amber, Andy Dupre; and numerous loving great grandchildren, brothers, and sisters. 

Alton is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Emily Brunet Dupre; son, Alton Dupre Jr., grandsons, Trinity Dupre and ‘Lil Jerry Dupre Jr., siblings, Clarence “TiDu” Dupre Jr., Norris Dupre, Dennis Dupre, Corey Dupre, Vesta Dupre, Judy Lapeyrouse, Arlene Dupre; maternal parents-in-law, Eddie Joseph Chaisson and Azeline Authement Chaisson.

Alton was proud of his family and worked hard for them throughout his life.  He was a perfectionist who had many skills and talents.  There is nothing he could not fix and repaired many TV’s and radios over his lifetime.  

Alton proudly served in the United States Army and was known for his accuracy with a firearm. 

He proudly worked for Texaco Oil and Gas and retired after thirty-two years of service.

Alton claimed his biggest accomplishment in his life was his family. They love him dearly and he will be dearly missed by all whom knew him.  He will forever be much loved and never forgotten.
