Winnie Lillian Pierre, 90, a native and resident of Dulac was born on January 20, 1932 and went on to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. She is resting in the loving arms of her Savior.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. in our Magnolia Chapel and Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 8:00 am to service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc., in our Magnolia Chapel.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 11:00 am at Chauvin Funeral Home Inc., in our Magnolia Chapel. Burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in Dulac, LA
She is survived by her children, Paul Junius Pierre, and wife Hazel; Joseph Ernest Pierre, and wife Caroline; Anthony Ivy Pierre, and wife Linda; Raymond Curtis Pierre; Carol Pierre Parfait, and husband Lenwood Sr. “Neg”; Michael Dwayne Pierre, and wife Cherie; and also Gertie Tupper and husband Ellory; sister Alice Albarado and husband Clinton; brother Fred Verdin and wife Anita; grandchildren Melanie and husband Jerry; Kelly and wife Jennifer; Kevin and wife Leslie; Joanna and husband Bobby; Chasity and husband Bo; Crystal and husband Mark; Melinna, Lenwood Jr. “T-Neg”, Casondra, Brandy, Monica and husband Sterling, Brandon, Brittany, Dustin, and Aaron, including Sharon and husband Tony, Jimmie Jr. and wife Faith; Margie and husband Tom; and Larry; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Ivy Paul Pierre; parents Joseph Naquin and Gladys Billiot Austin; brothers Earl Naquin Sr.; Simon Naquin Sr.; Ernest Naquin, and Antoine Dardar; sisters Aggie Naquin; Emelda Streetman, and Aline Bergeron; son Peter James Pierre; and grandchildren, Paul Pierre Jr., Amanda Pierre, Ron Pierre, and Regina Parfait O’Connell; and daughter-in-law Linda Ramsey Pierre.
Lillian was a devoted wife, nurturing mother, loving grandmother and dear friend to those who knew her. She loved to cook and would offer food to a stranger if they were hungry. Her white beans, jambalaya and homemade bread were some of the best food you ever tasted if you had the luxury of being offered a meal in her home. She was a devoted member of the Lords House of Refuge.
