Willa Landry

Willa Mae Landry, age 78, passed away Tuesday January 26, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Empire, La and longtime resident of Thibodaux, La.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend visitation Saturday January 30, 2021 at Cross Church, 2600 Coteau Road, Houma, Louisiana 70364, from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery #2.

Willa is survived by her daughter, Chesley Naquin (Darren); sons, Allen Nelton, Jr.  (Tina), Brantle Nelton (Lilly); longtime companion, Steven Padron; grandchildren, Melanie Trosclair (David), Keith Hatch (Crystal), Heidi Blanchard (Shane), Lisa Boquet (Brad), April Trahan (Brett), Amanda Chiasson (Remy); seventeen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; sister, Angie Buras; brothers, Barry delaCruz, Billy Ray delaCruz and her loving pet, Prissy.

Willa is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert “Bert” Landry; parents, William “Willie” delaCruz and Thelma Frelich delaCruz; granddaughter, Kasi Ann Nelton; sisters, Diana Jakubielski, Valerie Byron, Denise Hebert; brothers, Roger Dale delaCruz, Blaine delaCruz, Avery delaCruz, and Dennis delaCruz.

Willa was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the Casino, and vacations and cruise ships. She loved nothing more than sharing time with her family and going to church. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
