Whitney Roussell

Whitney Joseph Roussell, age 85, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 15, 2022. He was a native of Pointe-Aux-Chenes and a resident of Schriever, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service at Chauvin Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Whitney is survived by his daughters, Telitha R. Linton and husband, Greg, and Tammy R. Gregoire and husband, Gary; sister, Evelyn Carter; grandchildren, Andrea Giroir and husband, Jarod, Zachary Linton and wife, Sarah, Alexis Gregoire and fiancé, Jerrold Jr, Jeremiah Gregoire, and Jaiden Gregoire; great-grandchildren, Eyan Hurder, Felicity Messina, Francine Linton, Braxton McBride, and on the way Weston McBride; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Whitney was preceded in death by his wife, Ouida Carol Linton Roussell; parents, Edgar and Ava Roussell; brothers, Felix, Mathle and Marcellin Sr. Roussell; sisters, Ada Roussell, Marie Hebert, Matilda Ellender, and Jessie Ethridge.

Whitney was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He enjoyed gardening and was an avid animal lover. He will be dearly missed by all whose hearts he touched.
