Walt Prejean

Walt Robert Prejean, age 55, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 10:54 am. He was a native and a resident of Houma.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Monday, May 21, 2018 beginning at 4:30 pm until a Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 pm.

Walt is survived by his wife, Nancy Gallop Flaspohler; children, Lauren P. Ledet and husband, Jason, Sarah M. Ogden and husband, Jason, and Richard A. Flaspohler; brothers, Jon E. Prejean and wife, Sandi, and Jace A. Prejean and wife, Carolyn; sister, Pam P. Guidry and husband, Dr. Bruce Guidry; grandchildren, Rachel, Jaxson, Aria and Aurora; nieces and nephews, Nancy Claire, Scott, Elisa, Melanie, Christopher, Stacy and Michael; former wife, Emily Theriot.

Walt is preceded in death by his parents, Walter John and Cecile Louise Pierron Prejean; niece, Amanda Catherine Guidry.

Walt retired from the Terrebonne Parish School Board after 33 years of services. He enjoyed playing drums, barbequing and watching sports. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Association. A special thanks is being expressed to family, friends and co-workers who loved and supported him through his battle with ALS.
