Virginia Mary Lirette Bergeron, 87, died April 17, 2017 at 10:19 PM. She was a native of   Montegut and a resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 9 AM until funeral time at St. Gregory Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial will be held in St. Francis de Sales #2 Cemetery, Houma, LA. She is survived by her son, Donald J. Bergeron, Jr. and wife Faye; daughter, Melanie B. Clark and husband, Merlin; sister, Shirley Eschete; son-in-law, Kermit L. Breaux; grandchildren, Kyle L. Breaux, Erin B. Detiveaux and husband, Jamie, Shelley B. Niette and husband, Mike, and Allison B. Antill and husband, James; 5 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Donald Joseph Bergeron, Sr.; parents, Alvin Joseph and Alberta Eva Falterman Lirette; daughter, Stephanie B. Breaux. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory Catholic Church where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She enjoyed shopping, helping people and spending time with family and friends.
