Vincent J. Stassi, age 83, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 surrounded by his family. Vincent was a native of Hammond and a longtime resident of Bourg, LA.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in the Magnolia Chapel at Chauvin Funeral Home on Friday, November 16, 2018 beginning at 4:00 p.m. until the Liturgy of the Word at 8:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery in Hammond, LA. on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.
Vincent is survived by his sons, John Stassi, Vincent Stassi, Jr., and J. Michael Stassi; grandchildren, Vincent Stassi III and wife Bridgeit, and Nicholas Stassi; great-grandson, Baylon V.J. Stassi; sister, Mary Francis Piazza.
Vincent is preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Stewart Stassi; son, Anthony Stassi; parents, John and Mary Loicano Stassi.
Vincent was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved his family dearly and worked very hard. He was a well-respected business man. Vincent was the owner of Houma Toyota for forty years. He thoroughly enjoyed his time eating out and drinking coffee with his friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
