Victoria Guise

Victoria Smith Guise, age 92 passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 14, 2018 at her residence. She was a native of Montegut and a resident of Chauvin.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Sunday, December 16, 2018 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume Monday December 17, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Victoria is survived by her son, Chris Guise and wife Laura; daughter, Mary Jane Authement; step-grandchildren, Tobi Elizabeth Mabile, and Rhea'Ann Mabile; brother, Nolan Smith.

Victoria is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur A. Guise, Jr.; parents, Ozema and Noeline Trahan Smith; step-granddaughter, Sadi Nicole Mabile; nephew, Micky Smith.

Victoria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She enjoyed listening to music and dancing with her friends and was proprietor along with her husband of the Silver Star Dance Hall. She was also a member of the Ward 7 Club and involved in Chauvin Mardi Gras. She is now reunited with her loving husband Arthur and now rests in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
