Velma Sanders Valure, age 78, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at her residence. She was a native of Bentonia, MS and a longtime resident of Bourg, LA
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Ann Catholic Church on Wendesday, Febraury 28, 2018 beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Velma is survived by her son, Louis Valure III and wife Dallas; daugters, Lisa Darcey and husband Timmy, and Stacy McElroy and husband Myron; grandchildren, Eric Valure and wife Holly, Jordan Darcey, Devin, and Aaron McElroy, Leslie Valure, Chassy Foster, and Kellie Parfait; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Lane, Nate, and Jaiden Valure.
Velma is preceded in death be her parents, William and Evie Lee Sanders, husband, Louis P. Valure, Jr.; brothers, Norris, George, Lamar, James, and W.T. Sanders, Jr.; sisters, Natalee Sanders Crawford, Gracie Louise Sutton, Annie Mae LeBlanc, Sadie Sanders Cain; niece, Elsie Mary Howell.
Velma was loving, caring, kind, and loved her family dearly. She loved collecting angels and snow globes, but mostly loved flowers and watching hummingbirds. Velma was blessed in many ways, expecially having a beautiful family and a longtime marriage of 52 years to her late husband, Louis. She was a parishoner of St. Ann Catholic Church. Velma is now reunited with her beloved husband. Her family will cherish her beautiful and natural ability to love forever.
