Ursula Marcello Breaux, age 67, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family on December 30, 2022. Ursula was a lifetime resident of Houma.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Francis Cathedral on Saturday January 7, 2023, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery No.2.
Ursula is survived by her loving children, Natalie Ray Breaux Rivera and husband Todd, Richard Christopher Breaux and wife Kristi; grandchildren, Julia Ray, Olivia Joyce, and Ella Grace Rivera, Kate Elizabeth, Andrew Arthur, and Madilyn Claire Breaux; sisters, Bernadette Babin (Danny), Martha Boudreaux (Dwight); brother, Sal Marcello (Beth). She is also survived by many special nieces and nephews and their families.
Ursula is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Richard “Ricky” Arthur Breaux; parents, Ray and Gloria Marcello; father and mother-in-law, Richard and Laurel Breaux; nephew, Jacob Lee Marcello.
Ursula was a loving, compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She cherished the simple things in life. Her greatest joy was her loving family, especially her grandchildren. Ursula was a longtime parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and was guided in life by her devout faith.
Ursula’s Family is sincerely grateful for her caregivers, Vera and Rachel, the staff of Bayou Homecare, Haydel Memorial Hospice, Dr. Matthew Watkins, Dr. Nicholas Rau, and the many friends who supported and prayed for Ursula these past few years.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Francis de Sales School, Vandebilt Catholic High School, and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
