Ulysses “Use” Guidry, age 89 passed away at his residence on Friday, August 11, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of Bayou Blue and Houma. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the Dauphine Chapel on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 beginning at 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Liturgy of the Word at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery no. 2 Ulysses is survived by numerous family members; numerous nieces and nephews. Ulysses is preceded in death by his wife, Edna Ledet Guidry; parents, Freddie and Armontine Marcel Guidry; and numerous siblings. Ulysses was a loving husband and friend, very hardworking, strong-willed, dedicated, but soft-hearted man who loved his family dearly. Ulysses worked and retired from McDermott with 30 plus years of service; then worked at Houma furniture store. He rode bulls for rodeos, loved western movies, and loved his Saints “Who Dat”.
