Trudy Juneau

August 26, 1949 — April 7, 2020

Trudy Griffin Juneau, age 70, passed away on April 7, 2020. She was a native of Algiers and long time resident of Houma.

Trudy is survived by her daughter Shanna Juneau Manor and husband Steven Manor; son, Scott Juneau and wife Lori Juneau; grandchildren, Taylor Canell and fiancé Emma Lewis, Austin Canell, Reagan Hughes, Travis Manor, Ashley Manor, Cullen Hebert, Shelbi Manor, Gavin Carlos, Launa Juneau, and Drew Juneau; brother, Calvin Griffin and wife Gail Griffin. She is also survived by her loving cousin, Susan Blumberg, who was like a sister.

Trudy is preceded in death by her husband, Lon Juneau; parents, Calvin and Alberta Griffin; mother and father-in-law, Louis and Charlotte Juneau.

Trudy had an infectious smile and fiercely loved anyone she came in contact with. Her greatest joys and accomplishments in life were her children and grandchildren. Some of the things she enjoyed the most were weekends with her grandchildren, which included reading and puzzles with Launa, hair and nails with Reagan, weekend visits from Taylor and Emma, surprise visits from Austin, and puzzle and Ipad fun with Drew. She also enjoyed reading (A LOT) and gathering with her book club friends. She was a die-hard Saints and Drew Brees fan. Trudy looked forward every year to her first creole tomato sandwich fresh out of Mary Kay and Larry’s garden, her visit from Sue and Fred, and her tin of homemade fudge from her loving brother. One of the things that will be missed the most is her vibrant personality, hugs and kisses, and her ability to love.

Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Trudy Juneau.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
