Steven Labat, Sr.

Steven Paul Labat, Sr., age 60, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021. He was a native and resident of Houma, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Saturday, August 7, 2021, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m.

Steven is survived by his son, Steven P. Labat, Jr. and wife, Ashley; daughter, Ashley Nicole Labat and companion, Corey Pellegrin; companion, Shermie Hebert; father, Raymond August Labat; brothers, Paul Labat, and Kevin Labat and wife, Chasity; sisters, Alison L. Dryden, Shirley L. Lafleur and companion, Steven Miller, Carolyn L. Bertrand and husband, Randy, Tammy L. Arceneaux and husband, Donnie, Pauline L. Fontenot and husband, Bryan, Carla L. Bergeron and husband, Jason, and Mandy L. Richard and husband, Terrance; grandchildren, Arianna Duplantis, Braylee Labat, Kinslee Lefort, Kai Pellegrin, and Slade Pellegrin; and former wife, Trudy F. Defelice and husband, Richard.

Steven is preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine "Gerry" Mary Faucheux Labat; brother-in-law, Bret Dryden.

Steven served in the US Navy.  He enjoyed fishing, spending time with and boiling seafood for family and friends and was an avid LSU fan. He was a loving father and grandfather. Steven had a contagious smile and was loved by many. He will be dearly missed by all whose hearts he touched.
