Stephen Michael Neil

Stephen Michael Neil, age 58, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023. He was a native of Montegut and resident of Bourg, La. 

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Elie Cemetery in Chauvin. 

Stephen is survived by his mother, Joyce Rhodes Neil; siblings, Elizabeth Neil Stringer and husband Keith, Jesse Neil, Jr. and wife Paula, Jeffrey Neil and wife Tammy Jo; nieces and nephews, Holly Stringer Fabre, Kayla Stringer Fanguy, Keith Stringer, Jr., Justin Neil, Tyler Neil, Katie Neil LeCompte, Hunter Neil. 

Stephen is preceded in death by his father, Jesse Neil, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Myrtil and Stella Crochet Rhodes; paternal grandparents, Jeffrey and Mable Robichaux Neil; godparents, Aubrey and Wilma Portier. 

Stephen attended TARC. He was an angel sent by God to keep his family together and was lovingly cared for by his mother. Stephen will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
