Stanley Matherne

Stanley Joseph Matherne, 94, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018. He was a native and resident of Houma, LA.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Chauvin Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 9:30AM until service time at 11:00AM at First United Methodist Church in Houma, LA. Thursday, March 29, 2018. Burial will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018 in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery in Houma, LA.

Stanley is survived by his nieces, JoAnn T. Bourgeois and husband Rudie and Paula M. Voisin and husband Chris; great nieces, Sandy Marie and husband Jody, Kristy Ledford and husband Richard, Wendy VanDalen and husband Robert, Leah Voisin; great nephews, William Voisin and wife Phyllis, Jay Voisin and wife Christy, and many more nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  

Stanley is preceded in death by his wife Lillian Guidry Matherne; parents, Christophe and Clemelia Pontiff Matherne; brothers, Claude P. Matherne and wife Irene and Edward Matherne and wife Marie; sisters, Hazel Theriot and husband L.J. and Verna Riley and husband Roy.

Stanley was a Veteran of World War II, Weatherford District Manager and Deputy Sherriff for Terrebonne Parish.
