Shirley Fanguy

Shirley Hebert Fanguy, age 88, passed away Saturday January 22, 2022. She was a native of Houma and longtime resident of Bourg.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home Thursday January 27, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue Friday January 28, 2022 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until service time at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Elie Cemetery in Chauvin.

Shirley is survived by her children, Kenneth Fanguy and wife Beth, Gail Nelson, Sandra Marie and husband Gus, Connie Guidroz and husband Gene, Eric Fanguy and wife Linky, Timmy Fanguy and wife Melanie, Kellie Bergeron and husband Russell, Stacey Dupre and husband James; 28 grandchildren; 84 great grandchildren; 40 great great grandchildren; brother, Steve Hebert.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Dudley Fanguy; son, Randy Fanguy; parents, James Hebert and Leona Marcel Hebert; 4 grandchildren; brothers, Joel Hebert, Bobby Hebert, JC Hebert; sisters, EllaMae Fanguy, Gloria Porche.

Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed playing games with her children, challenging her mind with puzzles, and spending time with her family. Shirley also enjoyed gardening in her younger days. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
