Shirley Duthu

Shirley Billiot Duthu, age 83, passed away Thursday December 31, 2020. She was a native of Dulac, La and longtime resident of Houma, La.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation for Shirley Duthu Sunday January 3, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Monday January 4, 2021 from 8:30 AM until 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Rosary at 11:00 AM with burial to follow.

Shirley is survived by her children, Timmy (Tina), Ted (Lydia), Chris (Gail); eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Michael, Charlie, and Russell; sister, Bessie.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Houston “Pete” Duthu; son, Kurt Duthu; parents, David and Vivian Billiot; brothers, George Billiot, Jimmy Davis Billiot.

Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed watching the Saints, LSU and wrestling, and her favorite past time was visiting friends and family. Shirley loved eating boiled crabs, home made bread, and sweet potato pie. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Due to Covid19 and CDC regulations, family and friends attending services are required to wear face masks and practice social distancing.
