Shirley Authement

Shirley Francis Chauvin Authement, age 83, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at. 9:57 pm. She was a native and a resident of Chauvin.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, March 8, 2018 beginning 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Burial will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 13 years, Eural Joseph Authement, Sr.; son, Dirk J. Guidry and wife, Wendy; daughters, Cynthia G. Horn and husband, Curtis, Darlene G. LeBlanc, and Tammy G. Dobson and husband, Rex; stepsons, Craig Authement and wife, Della, and Dion Authement and wife, Lam; stepdaughters, Julie Hornsby and husband, Lonnie, and Tina Lyons and husband, Kenneth; sister, Lois C. Domangue; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Shirley is preceded in death by her first husband, Welton Joseph Guidry, Sr.; parents, Harold Louis and Beulah Marie Robichaux Chauvin; son, Welton J. Guidry, Jr.; son-in-law, Clifford LeBlanc; stepson, Eural Authement, Jr.; sisters, Elsie C. Rodrigue and Ann C. Martin.
Shirley was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a member of Ward 7 Club, VFW Auxillary, American Legion Auxillary Post 380, Woodman of the world and Chauvin Senior Center. She enjoyed dancing, cooking and gardening. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She will be remembered by her smile.
