Sherrill Bergeron

Sherrill Joseph Bergeron, 80, a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Houma, LA passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 5:33am.

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a Visitation on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00am until 11:30am.  A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00pm on Monday, May 3, 2021 at St. Lucy’s Catholic Church in Houma, LA.  Burial will follow services in Terrebonne Memorial Park in Houma, LA.

Sherrill is survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years, June Babin Bergeron; sons, Ronald Lenain (Rhonda) and Ernest Bergeron (Peggy); grandchildren, Angie Authement (Greg), Allen LeBlanc, Wilfred “Freddie” LeBlanc (Lisa), Brook Lirette (Todd), Donna Mitchell, April Pierre (Chad), Robert Riche (Bethany), Christie Breaux; twenty-two great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.

Sherrill is preceded in death by his parents, Ivy and Marcelline Dubois Bergeron; mother and father-in-law, Glaise and Rose Thibodaux Babin; son, Allen J. LeBlanc Jr.; grand-daughter, Lea Breaux; and great grandson, Trevor Blanchard.

Sherrill worked for Gulf Stream Services for nineteen years. 

The family would like to give a special thanks to Ochsner and their Chaplain, Bobby Bond of Gulf Stream Services for all their love and care given to Sherrill and family during their time of need.

Sherrill was a devoted Eucharistic minister for thirty-seven years.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to St. Lucy Catholic Church in Houma, LA, St. Francis de Sales School, or Vandebilt Catholic High School in Houma, LA.
