Scott D. Stoufflet

Scott D. Stoufflet, age 52, passed away Friday August 16, 2024. He was a native of Houma and resident of Paradis, La.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home Friday August 23, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:30 PM. Visitation will continue at Chauvin Funeral Home Saturday August 24, 2024 from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery #2.

Scott is survived by his children, Emma and SJ Stoufflet; former wife, Tara Yoest; parents, CJ and Kay Stoufflet; sisters, Thaya Vallet (David), Leah Rauhaus (Mike); fiancée, Heather Dahl; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Scott is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clifton and Hattie Stoufflet; maternal grandparents, TJ and Millie Evans; aunt, Priscilla Freeman.

Scott found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing and spent weekends camping under the stars with his kids and family. He was a loving son, father, brother, and partner who was extremely proud of his children and future step kids. Family gatherings with Scott were treasured moments filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of togetherness. He never met a stranger and loved telling jokes, especially "corny dad" jokes. He never passed a U.S. veteran without shaking his/her hand and thanking them for their service.

Scott loved sports of all kinds. He was extremely proud of his own accomplishments as a pole vaulter and swimmer in his younger years. Playing pool made him happy and he could often be found lining up his next shot with precision and a smile. The game was more than just a pastime; it was a way for him to connect with his fiancée and friends. Scott also loved everything LSU, especially football, celebrating every victory.

He lived life to the fullest. Rest in peace, Scott. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
