Samuel Authement, Sr.

Samuel Authement Sr., 78, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was a native and resident of Houma, LA.

Family and friends are invited to attended visitation from 9:00AM until service time on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Annunziata Catholic Church in Houma, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin after visitation starting at 11:00AM at Annunziata Church. Burial services will follow in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery in Houma, LA.

Samuel Sr. is survived by his loving Wife, Marlene Rhodes Authement; Children, Lana Authement, Samuel Authement Jr. and wife Penny; Brother, Bruce Authement and wife Evelyn; Sister, Agatha Authement King and husband Mike; Grandchildren, Renee Authement Hemphill and husband Robert, Ryan Authement, Whitney Nelton and companion Eric Durapau, Tabatha Foret and husband Jared, Lainey Grabert and husband Philip, Trent Dupre; Great Grandchildren, Jaiden, Jenna, Jarek, Rayce, Daisie, Weston, and Sallie.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Evios Authement and Ida Bourg Authement; Brother, Edgar Authement, Sisters, Bonnie Tolbert and Beverley Trosclair; Nephew, Alex King.

Samuel Sr. enjoyed gardening, fishing, and most importantly his Family. He had a deep Faith in his Lord. Samuel was a fighter and warrior who could be counted upon in any situation.

The Authement family would like to give a special “thank you” to all the family, friends, and nurses who helped in his time of need.

He will be forever and dearly missed, always loved, and never, ever forgotten.
