Ruth Pinell

Ruth Theresa Boquet Pinell, age 89, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. She was a native and resident of Bourg, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Ann Catholic Church on Monday, January 7, 2019 beginning at 9:00 am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with burial following in church cemetery.

Ruth is survived by her sons, Albert J. (Phyllis) Pinell, Jr., Keven J. (Sandra) Pinell, Sr., Eric P. (Susan) Pinell, and Daniel J. (Lorenda)Pinell; daughters, Patricia P. (Edward Jr.) Toups, Bernadette P. (Johnny) Adams, Angelia P. (Houston Sr.) Ezell, and Denise P. (Edward) Fett; brother, Andrew “Pete” Boquet, Sr.; sister, Rosemary (Donald, Sr.) Rhodes; 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Albert Joseph Pinell, Sr.; parents , Louis Peter and Rosena Arceneaux Boquet; brothers, Infant Charles, Roy (WWII), Allen, Carl, Julius, Lloyd “Joe”, and Cyril Boquet; sisters, Mayola Blanchard, Jane Champagne, and Gertrude Aucoin.

Ruth was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church where she served as the secretary for Ladies Altar Society, and taught Religion for many years. She was a member of the VFW in Bourg, LA. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends, and most all she loved serving the Lord. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
