Russel Guidry

Russel Paul Guidry, 89, a native and resident of Houma passed away on Oct. 23. 2018.  

Memorial and prayer services will be held at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma on Nov. 3 from 9:00am – 12:00pm.  

He was known for his fierce loyalty and dedication to his family, friends, and job.  He retired from Bell South / AT&T after 40 years of service. He was a dedicated fan of the New Orleans Saints from the day the team formed.  He is survived by his son, Brooke Steven Guidry and his wife, Marla Hebert Guidry, grandchildren, Connor Paul Guidry, Grant Joseph Guidry,  sisters Diane Juneau and Shirley Cenac.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alvin Joseph Guidry and Effie Lorena Blanchard, sister Eula Mae Guidry, his first wife Jerry Lynn Drott Guidry, and his second wife Betty Lecompte Guidry.
