Roy Youngblood, Jr.
Roy Youngblood Jr., age 73, a resident of Houma passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 6:49 am, after losing his battle of Covid and Pneumonia.
Services for Mr. Roy will be held at a later date and burial to follow in St. Eloi Cemetery. Relatives and friends may express their condolences on chauvinfuneralhome.com
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Vice Youngblood; three children Troy (Christie) Youngblood, Krista (Charles) Faucheux, and Scott (Tiffany) Youngblood; grandchildren, Catherine and Henry Faucheux, Farrah and Rori Youngblood; one sister Jaunita Y. Saunier.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Sr. and Mildred Trahan Youngblood; sister, Mary Lynne Y. Siders, and brother, Glen Youngblood.
He was a member of the Tri Parish Veterans Shelter, Terrebonne Fellowship Lodge, Houma Shrine Club, and Jerusalem Shriners. Roy served his country in the Air Force as an aircraft mechanic and served in the Vietnam War. He worked as a car salesman at Terrebonne Ford for 20 plus years and later went into oil field sales. Upon retiring he became involved with the Veterans Homeless Shelter. He was passionate about helping his fellow Veterans. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed being Pop Pop to his four grandchildren.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors and nurses who cared for him at Terrebonne General Hospital.
