Roy Bernard Reeves, age 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Terrebonne General Health Systems.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral on Thursday, December 2, 2021, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with burial at St. Francis Cemetery No. 2.
Roy is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Brenda Clement Reeves; beloved daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Boudloche and husband, Jeremy; his precious grandchildren, Alexander “Alex” and Jenna Boudloche; sister, Madeline Reeves Ford; brothers-in-law, Warren Clement and wife Elaine, Alfred Clement and wife Lori, and Tyler Clement. Roy is also survived by a special cousin, Revis “Marty” Caskey, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents, John “Jack” and Garnet Blanchard Reeves; brother, Jack Reeves; sister, Lorraine Picou; father and mother-in-law, Warren, and Vera Clement; sister-in-law, Juanita “Nitzy” Clement Oncale.
Roy proudly served our country in the U.S. Army (Vietnam). He loved spending time with his family and friends especially at his camp in Cocodrie. His favorite fishing buddy was his grandson Alex, and his granddaughter Jenna had a special place in his heart. Roy was a kind, generous, and humble man. He and his wife enjoyed the simple things in life. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis de Sales School or the charity of your choice in memory of Roy.
