Rosalie Dumond Bergeron, age 81 passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 1, 2017. She was a native and resident of Houma, LA.             Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Gregory Catholic on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Funeral Mass will be held at the church at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at St. Eloi Cemetery in Dularge. Please call Chauvin Funeral Home or review our website for times of service on Monday at 11:00 a.m. www.chauvinfuneralhome.com Rosalie is survived by her daughter, Karen Belanger and husband Lawrence “Brud”, Allen Dumond, Jr. and wife Becky, Mark Dumond and wife Dawn; grandchildren, Chad Belanger and wife Shannon, Brandon Belanger and wife Angie, Ryan Belanger and wife Dana, Devin Dumond and wife Kara, Emily Dumond Mancil and husband Thad, Jacques Dumond, Alyce Dumond, Chase Dumond and wife Kristen, Ashlinn Dumond and companion Heath, Dillon Dumond; fifteen great-grandchildren. Rosalie is also survived by her step-children, Oscar Joseph Bergeron, III and wife Laura, Paula Michel and husband Charles, Amy Rock, Amanda Porter and husband Donald, Fay Theriot and husband Lanny, Gerard Bergeron and wife Karen, Jennifer Detiveaux and husband Kenneth, Jill Theriot and Perry Breaux; numerous step grandchildren and step great- grandchildren. Rosalie is preceded in death by her first husband, Allen J. Dumond Sr.; second husband, Oscar Bergeron, Jr.; son, Keith Dumond; step daughter, Mary Beth Breaux; step son-in-law, Damien Theriot; sister, Beverly Porche; parents, Meldolph and Annie Brien. Rosalie was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She devoted her life to her loving family and friends, she was compassionate and caring to all who knew her. She was a life long parishioner St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. She will be forever missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank Dr. Ray Cinnater, Dr. Jules Dupont, Nancy Warren, NP, Dr. William Kinnard. The family would also like to thank Lana Nelton and Shelly Savoie for their care and compassion. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Dumond/Bergeron Family.
