Roland Aucoin

Roland Joseph Aucoin, 93, passed away May 30, 2017 at 8:36AM. He was a native of Morgan City, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 5:00PM to 9:00PM. Visitation will continue at Chauvin Funeral Home Monday, June 5, 2017 from 9:00AM until service time.  Funeral Services will begin Monday, June 5, 2017 at 11:00AM at Chauvin Funeral Home with burial to follow in Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery in Dulac, LA. Roland is survived by his Sons, Roland Aucoin and wife Jeanette, Leonie Aucoin, and Julian Aucoin and wife Flossie; Daughters, Sharon Erving and husband Zachary, Paula Martinez and husband Johnny, and Gayle Aucoin; twenty-three Grandchildren, fifty-five Great Grandchildren, and four Great Great Grandchildren. Roland is preceded by his Wife, Ruth Rita Aucoin, his Parents Leonie and Sedonia Aucoin, Brother Sterling Aucoin Sr., Sisters, Enora Poche, Enola Johnson, and Ida Mae Mire; Daughter Sheila Aucoin, and Baby Aucoin; Grandchild Ken Crews and three Great Grandchildren, Aniya Aucoin, Payton Aucoin, and Austin Neil. Roland enjoyed dancing with his family and friends. He also loved the outdoors and enjoyed Shrimping and Trawling. He was hard worker that provided for his family any way he could. He will be missed by his family and friends; but never will he be forgotten. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Aucoin Family.
