Roger Henry

Roger Joseph Henry, age 61, a native of Bourg and resident of Houma passed away Saturday September 15,2018 at 4:43 PM.

Visitation will be held Wednesday September 19,2018 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM in the Magnolia Chapel of Chauvin Funeral Home and Thursday from 8:30 AM until service time at St. Ann Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 AM with interment to follow in St. Ann Mausoleum.

Mr. Roger is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Betty Shipe Henry; son, James and Wife Emily Todd Henry; daughters,Amanda K. Shipe and significant other Jonathan Boudreaux and Christina Medice; sister, Linda and Husband Gerald Brunet; grandchildren,Heidi Medice, Matthew Medice, Kyla Bartley and Zaely Boudreaux.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eloi E. and Stella LeBouef Henri; and sisters, Geraldine H. Dupre and Elaine H. Dupre.

Mr. Roger was a draftsman at Gulf Island Fabrication for almost 30 years. He was a long-time member of Bayou Country Coin Club. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved to hunt, fish, bowl, and collect coins and stamps   He was an avid Saints and LSU fan. He was loved by many and those who knew him will miss him.
