Robert “Bean” Russo Bean, age 77 passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Bean now rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a longtime resident of Chauvin and currently resides in Houma. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in Chapel Dauphine at Chauvin Funeral Home on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church beginning at 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Bean is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Eula Babin Russo; son, Randy and wife Stella Russo; daughters, Robyn Denson and Lisa Authement; grandchildren, Beau Denson and wife Colleen, Sean Denson and wife Bailey, Kyle Denson and wife Nicole, Jade Peltier and husband Phil, Trey Authement, Bradley Russo, Randilyn Russo, Jeremy Parfait and wife Jena, Jonathan Parfait and wife Kristen; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Jonah, Demi, and Wyatt Denson, Mason St. Germaine, Hayden Peltier, Luke Parfait, Caroline Parfait; brother, Sam Russo, Jr. and wife Barbara; sisters, Joan Carlos, Linda Marie and husband Perry. Bean is preceded in death by his father, who was killed in action in WWII, Sam J. Russo Sr.; mother, Doris LeBlanc Blanchard and step-father, Walter Blanchard; brother-in-law Albon Carlos. Bean was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Bean was blessed to have married the love of his life, Eula Babin and they created a beautiful family. He was not only a proud father but loved his grandchildren dearly. Bean was a blessing to many, a talented cook and enjoyed cooking for his family on Sundays. Family was most important to him and he enjoyed every moment. Bean was a member of the Knights of Columbus council 5013, he worked on a drilling rig, commercial fisherman, diesel mechanic, worked for the State Senator, built boats and ending his career working with The Levee District. He was very talented and used his talents to help family and friends relentlessly. He was a blessing to so many people because he walked by faith and not by sight. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Russo Family.
