Rita Toups

Rita Fields Toups, 87, passed away late Tuesday evening, November 12, 2024 at 11:00pm. Rita was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Theriot, LA.

Family and friends of the family are invited to a visitation on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport, LA from 9:00am until Mass time. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Holy Savior Catholic Church at 11:00am. Burial will follow Mass in the church cemetery (Holy Savior Cemetery).

Rita is survived by her loving family; her children, Linda LeBeouf (Eric), Susan Alario (Vincent), Carl Toups (Michelle), daughter-in-law, Tammy Boudreaux Toups; thirteen loving grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.

Rita is preceded in passing by her loving husband, Roland J. Toups; parents, William J. Fields Sr. and Caroline Zimmerle Fields; sons, Craig Toups, and Glenn Toups; brothers, William J. Fields, and James B. Fields; sisters, Anita F. Melkild, Catherine F. Gassen, and Mother Superior Therese Fields; grandsons, Jonathan Toups and Jacob Toups.

Rita was a native of Theriot, LA and was a parishoner of St. Eloi Catholic Church. She also was an active member of the KC #8779 Auxiliary and St. Eloi Ladies Alter Society for many years.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who always shared her time, gifts and talents with family and friends. Her life and memory will live on in her many family and friends through the sharing of their memories of the life she lived. Rita will never be forgotten. She will be cherished and forever loved.
