Rickie James Boudwin, age 66, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Rickie was a longtime resident of Houma, Louisiana. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in the Magnolia Chapel at Chauvin Funeral home on Thursday, November 2, 2017 beginning at 6:00 p.m. until 9p.m. Visitation will resume at Annunziata Catholic Church on Friday, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. Rickie is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Rita Rhodes Boudwin; and son, Rickie Boudwin, Jr. and wife Mandy; daughters, Cassie Boudwin Votaw and husband Troy; Emily Boudwin Thompson and husband Cade; grandchildren, Chase and Gabe Votaw, Drake, Brandon, and Matthew Boudwin, Cameron, Hailey, and Landon Thompson; brother, Steve Boudwin; sister, Suzanne Mettler. Rickie is preceded in death by his parents, Warner and Hilda Songe Boudwin; brothers, Terry, Timothy, Larry, Barry, and Dale Boudwin. Rickie was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He cared dearly for his family and adored his time together for family gatherings. Rickie was a talented carpenter and blessed many with his woodworking skills. He enjoyed golfing, cooking, painting, fishing, and loved to tell jokes. He was also known for his award-winning gumbo. Rickie was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over thirty years. Rickie loved and served his Lord, he now rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7 .
