Richard Williams, Sr.

Richard Hart Williams, age 87, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 11, 2018. He was a native of Lake Charles and a resident of Houma.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 beginning at 9:00 am until a Liturgy of the Word at 11:00 am. Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 11:00 am in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lake Charles, LA.

Richard is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marjorie “Margie” McColley Williams; son, Richard H. Williams, Jr. and wife, Cathy; daughters, Donna W. Clement and husband, Larry, and Karen W. Morgan and husband, George; sister-in-law, Barbara Williams; grandchildren, Angela Espey, Christy Clement, Richard P. Williams, Michael Williams, Brian Williams, and Allison Currie; great-grandchildren, Kyle Clement, Brooklyn, Evan, Liam, and Ella Williams, Ethan and Aaron Currie.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Hubert, Sr. and Thelma Mae Hart Williams; brothers, Walter H., Jr. and Thomas J., Sr. Williams; twin sister, Thelma W. Socha; granddaughter, Samantha Morgan.
Richard was retired from Halliburton after 34 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, refurbishing furniture, gardening, and spending time with family.
