Richard Robichaux

November 6, 1942 — September 5, 2018

Richard Peter Robichaux, age 75, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. He was a native of Houma and a resident of Chauvin.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, September 10, 2018 beginning at 9:00 am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am with a burial in the church cemetery.

Richard is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bonnie Theresa LeCompte Robichaux; sons, Darren P. Robichaux and wife, Melissa, and Benjy J. Robichaux and wife, Wendy; daughter, Monica R. Arceneaux and husband, James Sr; brother, Caroll Robichaux and wife, Judy; grandchildren, Jason P. Arceneaux and wife, Morgan, James P. Arceneaux Jr. and companion, Brittni, and Rebecca “Becky” Arceneaux and companion, Connor, Kourtney Robichaux and companion, Toby, Kyle Robichaux, and Mirranda Robichaux, Lilly and Cade Robichaux; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Addelyn, and Lena Arceneaux, Bella Arceneaux, Ari Arceneaux and Liliana Theriot, Ki’lyn Lyons, Javien Jones.

Richard is preceded in death by parents, Roland Andrew and Leona Ursuline LeBouef Robichaux.

Richard was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He retired from Entergy Louisiana after 36 years. He served in the US Navy for 6 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, VFW, American legion and Woodmen of the World. He enjoyed fishing, trawling, making trawl nets, and hunting. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His pride and joy were his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
