Raymonde Lemor Champagne

Raymonde Lemor Champagne, 92, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 8:11pm.  Raymonde is a native of Hénonville France and resident of Theriot (Bayou Dularge), LA.

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 5, 2021 at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Theriot, LA beginning at 11:00am.  Burial will follow service in St. Eloi Cemetery.

Raymonde is survived by her children, Evelyn Champagne Hall and husband John, Phillippe Champagne, Loraine Champagne Duhé and husband Roy, Albert Champagne; sister, Suzanne Lemor Duval; grandchildren, Nicholas Voisin, Ivy Champagne Duet, Heather Champagne Malbrough and husband Gregory, Emily Rose Duhé and fiancé Jacob Hathcock; and five great grandchildren, Jarred Duet, Hailey Duet, Dakota Duet, Briar Malbrough, and Violet Malbrough.

Raymonde is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene John Champagne Jr.; parents, Raymond and Laurence Lemor; brother-in-law, Jean Duval; daughter-in-law, Debra Champagne; and many numerous brothers and sisters in law. 

 Raymonde was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. For many years, Raymonde was known in her community as the “Avon Lady”.

Raymonde immigrated to the United States in 1946 after marrying a young American soldier whose unit liberated her village of Hénonville, France from the occupying German Army.

 Due to the Covid-19 pandemic; local and CDC regulations require facemask and proper social distancing while attending funeral services.
