Raymond Daugherty

Raymond Julius Daugherty, age 83, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:33 am. He was a native of Stonewall, MS and a resident of Houma, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 beginning at 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Wednesday, August 29, 2018 beginning at 9:00 am until a Celebration of Life at 11:00 am. Burial will be held in St. Eloi Catholic Cemetery.

Raymond is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Ann Gaspard Daugherty; sons, Richard F. Daugherty and Ronald P. Daugherty; niece, Kathy D. Rivera.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Julius Franklin and Ada Florence Daugherty; brother, Luther G. Daugherty.

Raymond served in the US Navy for 4 years. He was a member of the Terrebonne Parish Sportsman's League. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and knife making. He was a loving husband and father. I will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Special thanks to Dr. Richard Haydel, Dr. Jody Stagg, and the staff of TGMC.
