Randall "Randy" Viteaux

August 14, 1956 — December 29, 2021

Randall "Randy" John Viteaux, age 65, a native and resident of Houma, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, beginning at 9:30 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with burial at a later date.

Randy is survived by his wife of 41 years, Anne Elaine Fanguy Viteaux; daughter, Abbey Elizabeth Viteaux and companion, Timothy Carreker; brothers, Bobby M. Viteaux and wife, Barbara, and Mark H. Viteaux and wife, Janet; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Robert and Theresa Jeanette Lirette Viteaux; sisters, Sandra A. and Sharon L. Viteaux; grandparents, Elie J. and Corinne LeBoeuf Viteaux, and Edward A. and Vivian Picou Lirette.

Randy loved God, his church, and his family. He was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church where he participated in several ministries and events including youth group, confirmation CCD teacher, Knights of Columbus and many more. He loved spending time with family and friends, camping, fishing, and helping others.

The family would like to thank all the doctors and staff at Thibodaux Regional Health System and Cancer Center, Dr. James Soignet and staff at RIMA, Dr. Stephen Duplechain, Dr. Justin Toups and staff at Digestive Health Center, doctors and staff at Benson Cancer Center in New Orleans, and Hospice of South Louisiana. Anne and Abbey want to extend special thanks to their personal "Village" for everything they have done in our time of need.
