Rachel Pierre Bohannon

Rachel Fay Pierre Bohannon, 45, passed away yesterday afternoon, August 22, 2017 at 7:24PM.  Rachel was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will begin Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 4:00PM to 9:00PM and Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00AM until service time.  Funeral Services will begin on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 11:00AM and burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Rachel is survived by her loving family. Her mother, Walterine Trahan Pierre; Rachel’s loving companion Bruce Harris; son, Tylor Pierre; daughters, Taylor Burkholder and husband Quinntrell, and Billie Bohannon; step-daughter, Brianna Harris; brother, “Boy” Pierre Jr.; sisters Debra Dupre, Wanda Trosclair, and Gwendolyn Lapeyrouse and husband Brian; grand-daughter, Anijha Burkholder. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Rachel is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Bohannon; and father, Harry Pierre. Rachel was a dedicated and loving mother.  She loved her family and friends dearly.   She will be dearly missed by all who knew her; but she will never be forgotten. Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to serve the Bohannon family.
