Penella Scott

Penella Marie Scott, a vibrant and loving soul, passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on November 28, 1949, in Houma, Louisiana, Penella spent her life radiating warmth and compassion to everyone who crossed her path. She was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, and friend, whose great cooking and nurturing spirit created a welcoming haven for all.

Penella proudly served as a Clerical Coordinator at TGMC Blood Bank for twenty years, where her big personality and kind heart left a lasting impact on her colleagues and the community. Her home was a gathering place filled with laughter, love, and the aroma of her delicious meals. She married the love of her life, Thaddeus Scott, Jr., on September 16, 1967, and together they built a beautiful life, filled with cherished memories.

A lover of Mardi Gras, Penella was an active member of the Aquarius organization and a past member of Cleopatra, embracing the joy and spirit of celebration. Her influence will continue to be felt by her beloved husband, Thaddeus Scott; her sons, Thad Scott, and Randy Scott and spouse, Stephen Hales; while Penella was the mother of two sons, she opened up her heart and home to many others who called her mom.

Penella was preceded in death by: JC LeBeouf, Mildred LeBeouf.

Funeral services for Penella will be held in the Magnolia Chapel of Chauvin Funeral Home. A public viewing will take place on January 13, 2025, beginning at 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM, and again on January 14, 2025, from 9:00 AM until the service at 12:00 PM. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in St. Francis No. 2 Cemetery.
