Peggy Jean Swansey LeBeouf, age 81, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 10:06 pm. She was a native of Freeport, TX and a resident of Montegut, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, October 19, 2018 beginning at 5:00 pm until a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 pm.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Alex Joseph LeBeouf; sons, Milton R. Almaraz, and John J. Almaraz, Sr. and wife, Susan; daughters, Jeannie A. Ward, Alexandria L. Bates and husband, Wesley, Patricia A. LeBeouf and wife, Therese Robert, and Casandra L. Wallace and husband, Christopher; brothers, Bruce “Billy” Swansey, Jr., and Bruce K. Swansey, Jr.; sister, Sidney S. Lasseigne; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

Peggy is preceded in death by her father, Bruce Kine Swansey, Sr.; mother, Jeanne Mizelle Swansey; son, Randall B. Almaraz; daughter, Theresa A. LeBeouf; grandson, John J. Almaraz, Jr.; sister, Patricia S. Colbert.

Peggy enjoyed cooking, fishing, crabbing, sewing, reading, and dancing. She was queen of the world, top dog, and always had an open door. Her goal in life was to live, love, and feed the world which she did in abundance and with a small shaker of salt. In honor of the celebration, please wear colorful casual attire. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, a donation in her name to St. Vincent De Paul would be appreciated.
