Pearl Price Bonvillain, 95, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 2:31pm. Pearl was a native and resident of Houma, LA.
Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houma, LA on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 9:30am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation on Monday at 11:00am with burial following Mass in the church cemetery.
Pearl is survived by her children, Patricia Shineflew; Reuben Bonvillain Jr. and wife Kay Boudreaux Bonvillain; thirteen loving grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, and twenty-one great-great grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann Duet; Johnny Price and wife Nancy Price.
Pearl is preceded in passing by her husband, Reuben C. Bonvillain Sr.; parents, Forest and Camilla Samanie Price; children, Thomas Bonvillain and his wife Bonnie Ledet Bonvillain, and Ann Bonvillain Doiron and husband Michael Francis Doiron Sr.; son-in-law, Richard Shineflew Sr.; sisters, Betty Gros and husband Whitney Gros, Jeannette and husband C. J. Savoie; Florence Bonvillain; and Alta Bergeron; brothers, Lawrence “Larry” Price and Edward “Crow” Price.
Pearl was a homemaker and always took very good care of her family. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church serving on the church council for two terms and also was a member of the church choir. Pearl was an employee of Terrebonne General Medical Center for forty-three years, serving on the Terrebonne General Board of Commissioners and retired from TGMC on December 31, 2002. She loved being with and was very proud of her family.
