Patricia "Pat" Schmidt Blanchard

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue at Chauvin Funeral Home Friday, August 11, 2023 from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Laura Blanchard, Paula Dufrene and husband Joseph; grandchildren, Heather Theriot and husband Brent, Ashley Harrington and husband Tyler, Matthew Prince; great grandchildren, Lane LeBlanc, Ava Theriot, and Connor Harrington; siblings, Toxie Schmidt, Jr., Richard Schmidt, Timothy Schmidt. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren. 

Pat is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Minus Blanchard; parents, Toxie, Sr. and Levine Schmidt; daughter, Donna Prince.

Patricia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was an avid genealogist who enjoyed researching her family and friends lineage and ancestry. She enjoyed the company of her great grandchildren who never failed to make her laugh. She will always be remembered for her love of Cheetos, Diet Coke, and the way her love for her family could fill the emptiest room. She will always be too well loved to ever be forgotten.
