Patricia Dupre Larrabee, 79, a native of Morgan City, LA, and a longtime resident of Bourg, LA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 26, 2023.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation in her honor on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at St. Ann Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial to immediately follow in church cemetery.
Patricia is survived by her children, Paul Larrabee (Patsy), Lisa Habis (Dave), John Larrabee (Sheri), Don Larrabee (Wendy), Johnny Larrabee (Barbara), and David Larrabee (Ginger); 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Larrabee; son, Herman Dupre; parents, Herman and Fabiola Dupre; grandchild, Megan Menou; brothers, Norman, Burkin, Reynold, and David Dupre; and sisters, Verna Jane Dupre Quain and Veronica McClanahan.
Her priority was always her family, and she poured her heart and soul into ensuring their happiness and well-being.
Patricia's warmth and affection extended beyond her immediate family. She had a special talent for crocheting, which she generously shared with others through handmade blankets and clothing. She enjoyed the relaxing pastimes of fishing and camping, finding solace in the beauty of nature. Family gatherings brought her immense joy, as she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones.
One of Patricia's favorite pastimes was visiting the casino, where she embraced the excitement and camaraderie of the gaming world. Her adventurous spirit and love for life were infectious, and she created lasting memories with those fortunate enough to share in her experiences.
The family would like to thank Ms. Dori from St. Joseph Hospice and her daughter-in-law Wendy Larrabee for their amazing care.
In honor of Patricia's vibrant spirit and love for life, let us remember her with smiles, laughter, and fond memories. May she rest in eternal peace.
