Ollie Courteaux

Ollie Joseph Courteaux, 79, passed away surrounded by his loving wife and family on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 10:34am. Ollie was a native of Montegut, LA and resident Bourg, LA.

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg, LA from 9:00am until Mass time. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at St. Ann Church at 11:00am with burial to follow services in St. Ann Church Cemetery.

Ollie is survived by his loving wife of thirty-one years, Fredda Bascle Courteaux; daughters, Amy Grissom and husband Shelby, Tina Chiasson and husband Guy; step-daughter, Lana LeBoeuf; sons, Leonard Courteaux; step-sons, Larry LeBlanc, Lanny LeBlanc, Lee LeBlanc; sisters, Marie C. Domangue, Laura Collins, and Lois Randle; and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Ollie is preceded in death by his parents, Eulice and Eva Gregorie Courtaux; son, Ollie Courteaux Jr., infant daughter, Wendy Kay; brothers, Kirby Courteaux; Philip Courteaux, Jim Gregorie, Adam Gregorie, Ernest Courteaux; sister, Judy Guidry, Genevive Gregorie, Eva Lynn Courteaux. 

Ollie was a member of the Bourg Lions Club and was a past recipient of the Melvin Jones Award.  He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to bingo, and fishing.

The family would like to thank Haydel Memorial Hospice, Dr. Russell Henry and Richard Alexander for the love and care given during Ollie’s time of need.
