Norris P. Guidry, age 80 died on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at his residence. Norris was a lifelong resident of Theriot, Louisiana. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Eloi Catholic Church on Friday, July 28, 2017 beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery. Norris is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Mazel Lirette Guidry; sons, Lloyd and wife Connie Guidry, Brian and wife Ann Guidry; daughters, Cheryl Levron, Sharon and husband Joseph Boudreaux, Myra and husband Kenneth Fanguy; sister, Wilma Farkas; twenty-one grandchildren and thirty-three great-grandchildren. Norris is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Mary Hotard Guidry; brothers, Kernest, Ernest, Lester, LeRoy, Jack, Cliffton and Junius “Polo” Guidry; twin grandsons, Chad Michael and Michael Joseph Boudreaux; sister, Thelma DeHart. Norris was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Norris enjoyed his time on the peaceful waters fishing and spending time with his family and friends playing cards. He worked for Main Iron Works for forty-five years until his retirement as a supervisor. Norris will be missed by many, he now rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
