Nicholas George “Nick” Twinkie” Luke, age 38, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Nick is a native of Houma and a resident of Gray. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Friday, December 15, 2017 in the Cypress Parlor beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday, December 16, 2017 in the Magnolia Chapel beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the Liturgy of the Word at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at a later date. Twinkie was survived by his wife of seven years, Kathy Sanchez Luke; children, Katie, Clifton, and David; parents, Alvin and Judy Trahan Luke; maternal grandfather, Houston Trahan; Godparents, Charlotte Hebert and Ricky Trahan; godchild, Bryce Rodrigue, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends. Twinkie was preceded in death by his; paternal grandparents Thomas and Rosalie Luke; maternal grandmother, Mayola Rodrigue Trahan; uncles, Richard and George Trahan; cousins, Michael Luke, Jr., and Caldon Crochet. Twinkie was a loving, compassionate, hard-working man who loved his family dearly. He was a great friend to all and will be dearly missed. Twinkie worked for Redmond Stone Works for eighteen years and had numerous side jobs. Twinkie was always in a good-mood, keeping a great attitude in life helped him everyday to love and serve others. He loved watching the Saints and LSU, he also loved to deer hunt and fish. He now rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Chauvin funeral home is honored to serve the Luke family.
