Nellie Cisneros

Nellie Lapeyrouse Cisneros, age 77, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022. Nellie was a longtime resident of Houma.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in Chapel Dauphine of Chauvin Funeral Home on Thursday, September 15, 2022, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at Chauvin Funeral Home on Friday, September 16, 2022, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Liturgy of the Word Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery No. 2.

Nellie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jesus “J.C.”  Cisneros; son, Lance Cisneros (Angela Bourgeois); daughter, Cindy Cisneros; grandchildren, Brooke Eschete, Erica Howard, Amber Boudreaux, Jade Cisneros, Grace Cisneros, and Adam Howard; great grandchildren, Christopher Verdin and Aria Burnam; sister, Jane Bourg and husband Charles. She is also survived by her fur baby, Bella.

Nellie is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Leola Price Lapeyrouse; daughter, Benina Howard; brother, Norton Lapeyrouse.

Nellie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her family dearly and spending time with them. Nellie was an avid reader and spent many years working as an office manager at the family business for fifteen years. Nellie will be dearly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
