Nathan James Scott, 67, a native of Grand Caillou, LA and resident of Houma, LA passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2019.
Family and friends of the family are invited to attend visitation on Friday, October, 11, 2019 at 9:00am until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home. Ministry services will begin following visitation at 11:00am. Burial will follow services in the Cross Church Cemetery.
Nathan is survived by his loving wife of forty-seven years, Carlen Robertson Scott; children, Thomas Luke Scott and girlfriend, Kristi West, Nell Scott Dixon and husband Christopher Dixon; grandson, Bennett David Dixon; siblings, Barbara Falgout, Eula Hughes and husband Edward, Rhonda Daigle and husband Sam; life long best friend and honorary brother, Kenneth Levron; his honorary sons, Greg Authement, Vance Branson, David Totty.
Nathan is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph R. Scott and Nell LeBeouf Scott; Father-in-Law, Levi Robertson and Mother-in-Law, Ann Rodrigue Robertson, nephew, Ricky Falgout, niece and godchild, Terri James; godson, Tracy Levron; brother-in-law, Peter Falgout; sister-in-law, Estella Miller; grandparents, Thomas LeBeouf, Adeline Buquet LeBeouf, John Scott, and Elivere Beniot Scott.
Nathan enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing in pool league, watching sports, especially LSU football, camping and traveling. Nathan was fond of making people laugh with corny jokes and was a big fan of Disney World. Most of all, he loved his family and friends beyond measure.
Special thanks to family friend, Dr. Rachel Coleman for not only the medical care, but the compassion and going beyond the call of duty.
