Nancy "Joyce" Giroir

Nancy “Joyce” Marie Sutton Giroir, age 82, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. She was a native of Edna, TX and a resident of Houma, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. with burial following in Bayou Black Cemetery.

Joyce is survived by her son, Gary P. Giroir and husband, Aaron Hall; daughters, Nancy G. Yzaguirre, Debbie G. Maisog and husband, Roy, Amy G. Morgan, and Stephanie G. Chabot; sisters, Glenda Gail Wolfskill, and Mary Ellen Bush; grandchildren, Jayna LeBlanc, Crystal Bergeron, Jay LeBlanc, Deanna Pitre, Justin LeBlanc, Kellie Bonvillian, Joni Cranna, Kristin Giroir, Candaice Miller, Jacob Yzaguirre, and Evan Chabot; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Elward “E.J.” Joseph Giroir, Jr.; parents, James “J.B.” Benson and Ethel Champagne Sutton; brothers, Gerald, Robert, and Stephen Sutton.

Joyce enjoyed gardening, horse races and fishing with her husband E.J., going to the Gulf Coast casinos and spending time with family and friends. She will dearly be missed by all whose hearts she touched.
