Nancy Hamner

Nancy H. Hamner, 69, a native and resident of Houma died on Tuesday January 16,2018 at 1:41 PM.

Visitation will be held on Monday January 22, 2018 from 9:00 AM until service time at the Chapel Magnolia of Chauvin Funeral Home. Service will be at 11:00 AM with interment in St. Francis Cemetery #2.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Gordon Hamner. Sons: Craig and wife Jeanne Favret Hamner and Bryan and wife Kathy Jo O’Rourke Hamner, Brother: Keith Henry and sister Diana Henry Blossman and husband Dr. Robert Blossman. Grandchildren: Jacob David Hamner, Andrea Renee Hamner, Abbigail Kate Hamner, Brennan Michael Hamner, Emma Catherine Hamner and Jordan Matthew Hamner. Brothers-in-law: John (MIKE) Hamner and wife Robyn Porche Hamner, William (DICKIE) Hamner and wife Sue Guillory Hamner, Clyde Francis Hamner (late wife Christine Ledet) and Kenneth Hamner and wife Lori Arsena Hamner. Sisters-in-law: Alice (WIZZY) Hamner Brien and husband Darryl, and Catherine Hamner Guilbeau and husband Eddie.

She was predeceased by her parents, Nelson and Lucille Boudreaux Henry.

Nancy was a former Queen of Hyacinthians XLIV, 1995 and educator in the Terrebonne Parish Schools. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed reading books and what brought her the most happiness was spending time with her family and friends.   She will be sadly missed by family, friends and all who loved her.
